Porque no hay plazo que no se cumpla y deuda que no se pague la descarga gratuita del nuevo disco de Radiohead se venció el lunes 10 en la madrugada, si alcanzó enhorabuena, y sino cooperó nomás. Como consuelo casi todos los temas del disco aún están disponibles en radioblog, no sé por cuanto tiempo.
Como dato "In Rainbows" se descargó mas de 1 millón de veces, marcando el principio del fin para el actual modelo de negocios de las grandes casas discográficas como Sony BMG, EMI, Time Warner, entre otras. Y en Chile, la Feria del Disco debe estar viendo bien negro el panorama en estos momentos, porque a pesar de que Radiohead dejó a entera libertad del usuario el precio final a pagar por el disco (que podía ir de 0 a 40 libras), de todas formas ganaron. Aparte de que los temas ya vienen listos para ser disfrutados cómodamente con un pendrive, en formato MP3. Sólo es cuestión de tiempo que las demás bandas empiecen a hacer lo mismo. La música del futuro ya no dependerá de medios físicos para ser escuchada.

The download area that is “In Rainbows” will be shutting its doors on the 10th December 2007.
A big thank you to everyone who came and downloaded the music. It’s been the most positive thing we’ve done and we hope you shared the experience with others.
The discbox will still be available from the w.a.s.t.e store here until they have all gone. We then have no plans to make further stock. For those of you who wish to buy In Rainbows in the usual way, it will be available on CD/Vinyl and download from traditional outlets from the 31st December 2007.
The record will be released by TBD Records in North America and XL Recordings for the rest of the world.

...el que no, bueno perdió como en la guerra nomás.
Si le urge tenerlo puedo enviarles el disco enzipado via mail, me tienen que avisar con tiempo ya que durante sólo esta semana puedo hacerlo (me voy fuera de Stgo.)

Aunque ya parece inevitable lo que ellos van a hacer no debemos permitir que ingresen a nuestro territorio nacional, de hecho ningún barco de pesca sin autorización puede andar como Pedro por su casa, la tarea de protección del mar chileno está en la Armada.
Si las ballenas pudieran hablar podríamos advertirles, pero son tan mansas que a pesar de su enorme tamaño nunca han atacado un barco para tratar de hundirlo.
...excepto en películas como "La Ballena Asesina" y "Tiburón"

Igual un millón de descargas es mucho, aunque solo el 35 o 40 no me acuerdo pago, de todas formas un 35% de gente pagando 4 libras, como 4 mil pesos es muuuuucha plata!
Sabes que yo he pasado seguido a la Feria del Disco estos meses y siempre hay gente comprando discos, sobre todo los mas mayores, de 40 para arriba, ellos aun prefieren el disco visible.
Yo también me sigo comprando discos porque a mi me gusta la musica y eso, aunque no compro tantos como hace unos tres años atras, pero creo que Feria del Disco ya amplio sus ventas hacia otras cosas, como la venta de entradas y cosas electronicas, asi que es probable que con el miempo también deje de ser la venta de discos su principal entrada.

mmm... Pero creo que La Fiera del Disco solo va a conservar su nombre de fantasía ya que la tecnología ha ido evolucionado y un día no muy lejano todo estará conectado a Internerd, desde un microondas, la calefacción, la lavadora y el refrigerador. He visto equipos de sonido con entrada USB.
Por lo mismo es lógico pensar que la música del futuro solamente esté disponible para descargarla desde ahí. En una de ésas la Feria abre una tienda virtual en "Second life" como ya la tienen Microsoft y Virgin.
Y como tal Ud. dice ha ido abriendose a otras áreas como la venta de libros, películas, juegos y las hace de manager de algunas bandas.
Tiene pa´rato la Fiera del Disco!
